Politico's John F. Harris and Jim VandeHei acknowledge the tilted coverage of the presidential race, but engage in massive rationalizations in order to assure their readers that it has nothing to do with politics.
My beef with the press is not that they are overwelmingly left wing(which they are), but that they are overwelmingly partisan democrat as well. Therefore they want the dem to win at all costs, even at the price of their own journalistic integrity.
Politico is a biased source of anything about the campaign, and I stopped reading them some time ago. Their "combined 35 years" of experience underwhelms me. This mea culpa BS doesn't ring true, either. The reference near the end of this article about the Palin-Biden debate suggesting that Biden did better is a good example. Biden lied about a half dozen times. I don't understand how you win a debate when your points are blatantly false and incorrect.
It simply amazes me that most of media personnel cannot see that they are writing from an extremely biased and opinionated point of view. Their position on this causes a lot of us to never trust/believe anything we read or see or hear from them.
