My favorite part of the
Politico article? A quote from
New York magazine's John Heilemann, who disagreed with Helprin's assessment:
"The biggest bias in the press is towards effectiveness," said Heilemann, who is authoring a book on the 2008 race along with Halperin.
"We love things that are smart."
What nonsense. Most of the people who comprise what we call the media in this country wouldn't know smart if it came up and bit them on the tuchus...
