Another Windy City Irony

The reporter who was chastised Tuesday by President-Elect Barack Obama for "wast[ing] a question" about Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich was none other than John McCormick, the Chicago Tribune's deputy editorial page editor whom Blagojevich wanted fired from the Trib's editorial board.

That Chicago is a place filled with ironies, isn't it?

Tom - To answer your question, yes it is. If by "ironies" you mean "scumbags."

The difference between Blag-o and Big-O is style, not substance. Obama would never do anything as crass as demand the firing of McCormick; he doesn't need to. All O needs to do is act hurt and insulted by the mean questions, and the chastised Trib will get rid of McCormick voluntarily, free of charge.
