I realize that you guys are not big Keith Olberman watchers, however Keith and Jonathan Turley have been pounding Obama on a number of these issues, including failure to prosecute former Bush Administration officials for torture and war crimes. If you read the updates at the bottom of the page the ACLU is displeased as are others that the Obama admin has not completely caved to their wishes. I am assuming that folks like Keith, Jonathan Turley and the ACLU constitute "The Left" and just as a matter of fact they are morally superior but not always correct. There is nothing moral about snatching someone off of the street with no evidence of wrongdoing and sending them to a black hole in some foreign country to be tortured until they confess to whatever it is you want them to confess to.
I also didn't notice any questions about Rhambo's rent free basement apartment so it looks like the press has caved just like you thought they would.

I have great respect for Jonathan Turley, though I disagree with him on this issue.
As for Keith Olbermann, I wouldn't piss on the bastard if he were on fire.

Well, I read the article.
It does look like something of strawman. Even if everything the alleged detainee said is true (a big IF), then there was "some evidence" that he was connected.
He knew a suspected terrorist, and worked with that man's brother (where and when aren't specified). Now, that's not much, and I don't think it would be enough to arrest someone in a criminal case in the U.S. (though it would be enough to make the police want to talk to the person), but it's not "no evidence."
This guy wasn't randomly picked off the street, even if his story is entirely true.
