Washington (Rooters) -- Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) has become the latest member of a growing -- and disparate -- coalition of Democrats to attack Republicans over their stance against the Cap-and-Trade bill passed out of the House last week.
As reported by Politico, Rep. Waxman yesterday accused the GOP of "rooting against the country" in its opposition to the climate-change legislation.
Waxman, the powerful chair of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and the House's lone Muskrat-American, joins a growing chorus of rhetorically-gifted Democrats attacking the Republicans over the issue.

On June 28th,
New York Times columnist
Paul Krugman accused House members who voted against the cap-and-trade legislation of "treason against the planet" and "immorality" in not facing the "clear and present danger to our way of life, perhaps even to civilization itself."
In a speech on July 8th, former Vice President Al Gore indicated that he believed 'the threat from climate change was as urgent as that from Hitler' in the 1930s,
according to the Times of London.
Many experts describe the lastest climate-change consensus, dubbed the ManBearPig-Muskrat-American-Self-Righteous-Economic-Nobel-Prize coalition -- as potentially the most formidable in US political history.
"I mean, come on. Consider the breadth of the group here: Men, bears, pigs, muskrats, and pompous, kvetching
New York Times columnists blessed by liberal Norwegians. What's not to like about the potential reach of such a group?" said one expert.
"They'll own
the important, decision-making demographic in this country."
